LOCAL ENGINEER JOINS “ORDER” AT NATIONAL CONFERENCE

HACKETTSTOWN (Oct. 18, 2010) - Drew M. Di Sessa, a licensed professional engineer and President of Criterium-Di Sessa Engineers of Hackettstown, recently attended the national conference of Criterium Engineers in Albuquerque where he accepted the Obligation of the Engineer.

The Order of the Engineer was initiated in the United States in 1970 to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession, to bridge the gap between training and experience, and to present the public a visible symbol, a stainless steel ring worn on the working hand, identifying the engineer.  Engineers of the Order voluntarily pledge to uphold the standards and dignity of the engineering profession and to serve humanity by making the best use of Earth’s precious wealth.

According to Di Sessa, “I take pride in joining other dedicated engineers from around the country who have committed themselves as engineers, to the ethical and social responsibilities that the Order of the Engineer represents.”

Criterium – Di Sessa Engineers continues to lead the way in building inspections, expanding into new markets such as sustainable construction, and energy analysis.  “These are areas that we have always been concerned about but are getting renewed attention these days.  This year’s conference, like all our conferences, was designed to keep our engineers at the leading edge of technology and service,” explains Di Sessa.
